Wedding Table Decor – “Linen-less” Table Inspirations

Wedding table decor without linens? Who would have ever thought we would be seeing this trend? When thinking about the table decor for your wedding reception, there are lots of options and now those options include linen-less tables. With the right design elements, construction and detail, you can find a style of table to compliment your wedding decor plan.

The ballroom shown above utilizes reception tables with a metal or copper looking top. These tables are standard at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Center in Sugar Land, Texas, and I love the possibilities that this provides. I think acquiring tables like this was a smart move on their part. If you want to use linens you can, but if you choose to hitch your wagon to one of the newest wedding trends of linen-less tables then you are all set.

This glossy white table looks fabulous, don’t you think? Why would you want to cover this look with a linen? This is a great idea if you want a nice crisp look for a beach inspired reception.

I love the look of this dark wood table. It has a nice rich feel to it. It also reminds me of my dining room table that I usually have covered with a linen of some sort to compliment whatever event I may be hosting at my home. Looks like I have some new inspiration ideas to play with.

  1. This is an excellent post. I loved all of the examples provided!

  2. Courtney, I love this post! I really enjoyed the copper tables at the Marriott Town Center.
I totally agree with you that you can go linen less if the current structures are just too beautiful to cover up. I especially like the 3rd photo with the copper elements at the Marriott Town Center. I feel like if you dressed the tables with linen it would make the decor design “too heavy” Nice informative trends post.

  3. WOW! What a great “Trend” I love it! Especially, if the table is already beautiful, WHY cover it up? The top picture is full of stunning decor, and elegance. Thank you for showing the picture of the Marriot venue in Sugar Land, TX! This post really turned me on to a NEW Trend! Thanks!

  4. Love this post! I think the idea of a linen less table is chic and a great way to save money!
